Our Camping Adventure - Day 1

The Johnson family packed their car with tents, sleeping bags, and food. Mom, Dad, and their two kids, Emma and Jack, were excited for the adventure. I was also very excited to join them for the weekend.

On Friday afternoon we drove to a beautiful campsite near a lake. The weather was perfect, with clear skies. The sun was still shining when we set up our tents. Then we made a cozy campfire.

On Saturday morning, the first day of our weekend adventure, Emma, Jack and I wanted to explore the forest. We found a trail and walked through the trees. We saw birds, squirrels, and even a deer. On our way, we also collected colorful leaves and rocks.

In the afternoon, we went canoeing on the lake with Jack's parents. We wore life jackets and saw fish swimming in the clear water. It was very peaceful and a lot of fun.

As the sun began to set, we returned to our campsite. Jack's father cooked dinner over the campfire. He made hot dogs and roasted marshmallows for us and Jack's mother told us funny stories.

After dinner, I looked up at the stars and felt happy and relaxed.
