| John Lennon: He was the "rebellious" Beatle. Born in Liverpool in 1940, he came to his aunt when he was 4 years old because his parents broke up (trennten sich). When he was 18, his mother was run over by a car and died. He was not good at school, he only wanted to play music. He had a band called "The Quarrymen". |

| Paul Mc Cartney was a schoolfriend and later became member of this band. George Harrison was the third member and Ringo Starr was fourth. Together with Paul he wrote about 200 songs. |
| In 1980 he was shot dead by a crazy fan in New York. This was a shock for the world because John was a member of the "peace-movement" (Friedensbewegung) |
